The Device Management and Service Enablement (DMSE) interface allows access to information based on the LwM2M data model, which allows a LwM2M Server to access resources at the granularity of object/object instance/resource/resource instance level. With the use of composite operations, several requests can be bundled into a single request. With the support of Sensor Measurement Lists (SenML) the response message may contain time series data although details are not provided in the specification.

It is, for example, not possible to fetch data based on time-based filters. For example, temperature data from object 3303, resource 5700 from Jan. 1st to Jan 7th or data from the last 7 days.

The purpose of this work item is to develop a technical specification to define how time series data is obtained via LwM2M.
